Description

  • Read and interpret simple drawing related to work and perform various jobs as per sketches.
  • Selection of welding rods, connect and fit welding equipment and accessories, adjust welding parameters such as voltage, current pressure of gas and flame (for gas welding)
  • Weld MS arc and gas, butt corner, elbow and lap joints within given accuracy in proper alignment with allowable distortion in both horizontal and vertical position.
  • Gas cut to given contour on MS plate up to 20mm thickness.
  • Build up metal on broken or worn out part by arc and gas welding
  • Detect welding faults and technique to avoid them.
  • Follow safety norms related to welding.

Notes

The syllabus for all Trades include the subject of Professional Knowledge, Professional Skill, Workshop Calculations & Science, Engineering Drawing and Employability Skills. In addition, the institute will provide training in:
